Women sipping their way to high cholesterol



Women diagnosed with breast cancer may be more likely to survive if they eat a diet rich in green veges such as broccoli and cabbage, according to new research from China.


The study followed almost 5000 women for five years after they were diagnosed with breast cancer. Women with the highest intakes of cruciferous vegetables reduced their risk of dying from the disease by 62 per cent and there was a 35 per cent reduced risk of the disease recurring.
